Design & Consultancy - west end firm of chartered surveyors
Background & Need
This long-established, traditional firm of chartered surveyors was
moving from rather tired West End premises to modern, purpose-designed,
fashionable offices in Soho. There were four (female) members of
the reception team all varying in age, size colour and shape. The
company recognised that resorting to austere black suits would not
enhance any of the individuals concerned, nor be in keeping with
how the company wished to be perceived, both internally and externally.
Solution
A day’s training was proposed for the whole team addressing
the importance of image as a communication tool in their role as
first ambassadors for the company. This was followed by our individual
training programme enabling each delegate to maximise their personal
impact and potential. The consultant then spent a day shopping with
the team and found for each individual complimentary outfits (two
jackets, three skirts or trousers and five tops) in colours, shapes
and styles appropriate to each of them.
Result
The company has a look of uniformity with all members of the team
dressed to the same standard in a co-ordinated theme in clothes
they have been able to help chose themselves. The shopping process
is repeated with the team twice a year.
